The Gujarat government has decided to provide assistance to farmers across the state by announcing this package as per the SDRF rules.
The Center and the state government will provide Rs
Out of the total Rs 3,795 crore, the central budget will be paid Rs 2,154 crore under SDRF and Rs 1,641 crore in the state budget. The assistance is only in accordance with the relief package received from the government and hence the amount of insurance against loss to the farmers will be available to the farmers from the insurance companies as a separate form, ”Patel said. Earlier, the government had declared that the crop was damaged in 22 lakh hectares of the total 85 lakh cultivable land across the state, but now the government has declined to disclose the total affected area. However, the government has stated that out of the 251 talukas across the state, only 18,369 villages of all 248 talukas except Ahmedabad, Surat and Junagadh City talukas will get the benefit of this assistance package.

How will the farmers get compensation
The government will soon set up an online platform for this, which the farmer will have to apply for compensation. The platform will be announced by the government hereafter. As per the SDRF rule, farmers have to submit a claim as they have to provide assistance against the farmer's application.
Why not compensate those whose crops are not harmed?
The government will also provide generous votes to farmers who have not been harmed by the crop due to mastication. The reason behind this has been shown that even after the crop is rained in it there is a loss of quality due to coagulation or other reasons. Therefore, such assistance has been declared so that such farmers do not suffer loss in the sale of produce.
The largest relief package in the history of Gujarat: CM
As Chief Minister during the Diwali festivals, I made a promise to the farmers of the state that our government will provide compensation in accordance with the SDRF rule against the damage caused by mahuta. We have completed it. There is a liberal tendency to cover areas as well. I believe that no other government in the history of Gujarat has ever given such a generous and such a huge relief package in case of a downturn. Even the total amount of such relief package provided by the governments so far would not be enough.
