Consumers and Union Minister of Food and Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan said that the government is moving forward in this direction.
Paswan said that the portability facility will be started in the country of the ration card, which can ensure that all the beneficiaries, especially the tourists, can get the food items required under the Public Distribution System (PDS) anywhere in the country.

Union minister Paswan addressed the states in a
meeting of food secretary and government officials saying this.
He said that a central repository of ration cards will be made under PDS’s Integrate Management so that the national level can be avoided by double standards.
The Minister of State for Food and Public Distribution, Dana Ravasahab Dadrao, has urged the states to work on the digitization of the ration card and to work on the digitization of the ration card.
According to this new arrangement, all people can use the same ration card in the country. However, in this ration card, the government will take strict action against people who are being abused.
The government will give a unique unique identification number to the rationing card like a support card, so that escape from the frog.
