In a conversation with a private media channel, Delhi-based AIIMS director Randeep Guleria has answered confusing questions. When the heat is on, people are confused about whether running AC in a car or home increases the risk of coronary infection also?

Dr. Randeep Guleria said, ‘There is a risk of running AC when there is cross ventilation. If your home has a window AC, the air will be limited to just your room. That is why running a window AC car or room does not cause any problems. But there is a risk of transitioning from central AC also’

Dr. Guleria further stated, “Central air goes into every room, and if an infected person coughs in another room or part of the office, infection by AC air can spread from one room to another. If the window AC is located in a single room, it does not matter. ”

The transition from central AC can be a risk of spread. The doctor said that in many hospitals where coronary patients are being treated, central AC is being removed and window AC is being installed. As heat grows, it will be difficult for doctors to treat coronary patients. Doctors and other medical staff treating coronary patients wear PPE kits. Wearing this suit in the heat can prove difficult for patients without AC. That is why it becomes necessary to install a window AC.
